TO SELL AT THE MARKET YOU NEED A CASUAL TRADING LICENCE

The yearly licences run from the beginning of January and applications can be made during October for trading in the following year, to the Department of Environment City Hall, Galway.  
You can apply to trade on a Saturday or on a Sunday.

The Summer Market runs Wednesday - Friday During July and August and applications will be taken during May/June of 2026

You will need to state the type of goods you are selling, the type of stall you have and the space required .  A public liability insurance policy must also be held in order to commence trading.  If you want to sell any type of food you will need separate documentation from the Health board.
